WE ARE IN THE GOOD DIRECTION |

By Germán Gómez Already returned from events so important as the III National Contest Museum of Alcobendas and the XIX National Congress of Bonsai – Murcia 2006 I have the sensation that we are in the good road. From Alcobendas the impressions cannot be better, is evident that since the previous contest to this the improvement has been growing, better trees, predominance of the indigenous trees from the imported ones, greater number of trees presented and greater affluence of public. |

In short, at this rate the museum remains small for next editions. I would like to thank the organizing effort of the museum of Alcobendas and especially of Luis Vallejo and is team, only a small objection in which to placement of trees refers, would have been desirable that all the trees exposed had been in identical possibilities and placement, once 4 or 5 trees were seen somewhat dull to my judgment by this theme, said this alone remains to expect that next editions continue on this direction and can continue improving. |

As for Murcia the sensations I have that to say that they were not the same, of course nothing that to say al effort of organization and al pretty chosen place, for which refers to the trees exposed the general level seemed me lower to it seen in Alcobendas, in fact alone a pair of trees of those of Murcia then they were exposed in Madrid, I think that in Murcia they lacked many trees and above all a representation but homogeneous of the different points of the Bonsai in Spain, there if I believe that the organization should work but in it in the future and to do an effort looking al exhibitor and participating because but we can have the impression of finding us but in a regional Congress that another thing. |

Concerning the theme of scoring of the trees to elect the winners of the Congress I believe that should change, I think that in these Congresses always is able and there should be some master s with the sufficient experience for be able to elect the winners with the system that be considered opportune. |

Which of these two realities is the one that reflects the true situation of the bonsai in our country? Therefore it not itself really, I believe that both although there would be that to qualify that to my personally I like but the reality of Madrid, I see it but coolness, but renewed and but brought up to date to our days that that of Murcia perhaps something anchored in the past and in another conception of the bonsai, of course that this is a very personal opinion and in a tone of criticizes constructive. At any rate for my our bonsai enjoys each time but of better health and quality, of course not all the fans we can have and to enjoy copies as some of them exposed in Madrid but that should be the road to continue and the mirror where we should look at, alone thus with a spirit of constant learning and improvement we will advance. |

But do not we deceive, Congresses and large expositions not to stop being somewhat subjective realities because later the return to our bonsai comes, al I work of base and al I work routine that is really what will do that our trees evolve and they improve, already we have seen that the copies of quality and that border the perfection is not something that be unattainable or that alone we can see in the specialized magazines, we have references so follow them, we are in the good road. |
